I am a HUGE fan of the NATURAL EARS and swore I would NEVER get a Boxer cropped as I prefer the NATURAL EARS. I don't dislike the cropped look but I never wanted a cropped Boxer. Well I kept a bitch from my litter to show myself and have been fighting her NATURAL EARS that insist on trying to stand or fly and I finally gave up and well below is the result. She has a beautiful head piece I am very excited about my bred by bitch that has a head for business with a body to back it up. I absolutely CAN'T wait to get my Beautiful Baby in the ring! I am so excited!!!! I may be disappointed when I look at her with her new ears because I so wanted to leave her ALL NATURAL like her Dam, Sire & Uncle but I also couldn't show her with messed up Natural Ears. I want her to have the best chance possible in the ring so that unfortunately meant cropping.

These pictures are in the 2nd & 3rd weeks after cropping, when Galaxy was 13 and 14 weeks old.

The 2nd week pictures are the ones where Galaxy has the collar on and 3rd week pictures Galaxy doesn't have the collar on.

Cropping has been quite an adventure to say the least. With any luck we should have ears standing on their own very soon.

Hopefully this will save someone the heartache and the torture of having to deal with infected ears. NEVER EVER let a Vet, Vet Tech or ANYBODY convince you that your puppies ears can be posted at anytime while the ears still have stitches. It's a very bad thing. I asked them several times if they were sure that they wouldn't get infected having the stitches completely covered and they repeatedly told me she would be fine and not to worry. They wanted her to be posted for 5 days. I let them post her and ended up with infected ears by day 3 of posting. Needless to say I was NOT HAPPY! Lesson definitely learned. Thank goodness the infection wasn't bad enough to need antibiotics and I now have a wonderful, very nice lady that is very close by that I can trust that is helping me. I owe her a HUGE THANK YOU! She is a life saver!

Show training in front of the house for the first and only time so far!
I was very pleased with the way she worked with me even though we had lots of distraction. There was a gardener axing down a tree right across the street. Galaxy was startled at first but recovered and worked well. Below are some of the pictures. To see all the pictures select this link - Galaxy Show Training
All of the above pictures were taken the weekend before she was shown in the 4 IABCA shows that she did so well in. I am completely in awe of this special girlie and can not wait to see her hit the show rings in just a couple more months. Watch out California!
